I think I’m a day or two late but I couldn’t resist taking part in Emma’s Commitment to Loveliness Fair. I love the idea of focusing on five small things we can do each week to bring beauty into our hectic lives. Here are my five resolutions for the week…
~One~
~Two~
~Three~
~Four~
~Five~
Little things, such as lighting a candle or setting out flowers, can have such a hugely positive impact on you and your family. Days can often be so full of busy work and difficulties. Don’t forget to stop and smell the flowers! I’d love it if you would drop me a comment if you participate in this fair so that I can stop by your blog and be inspired by your small acts of loveliness (
be sure to drop one at Emma’s place, too)! Thank you for being such a gracious hostess, Emma!

I’m afraid the closest my home gets to loveliness these days is when I actually sweep up the food the baby dropped on the floor rather than letting it lie. But I do appreciate seeing others who have energy make the effort. Well, I appreciate it but also I’m a bit jealous because It’s hard to think about adding small touches of pretty when the living room carpet is about six days past the point where I couldn’t stand it any more and I just have to vacuum and yet somehow I still haven’t been able to do so because naps and meal prep keep getting in the way.
I do like the playing music suggestion. I think I can do that!
This is a great idea! I’ve added my own five “commitments to loveliness” that I want to put into practice this week.
Thanks for your writing, it’s so inspiring to me as a newly-wed.
Music is a good motivator for me, too, but I always forget to turn it on, too. My hubby usually would do that for me, so I guess I'll have to work at remembering it on my own (for the next few months, as least!). Thanks for some new tips for me to try, as well.

P.S> Thanks for the encouraging comment on my blog; I was wondering when your little bloggy break would be over and kept forgetting to stop by and check in on you again! I'm glad you're back for now
