I just found out that Mr. Beguiles has to work tonight. Isn’t that terrible? I told him he shouldn’t go but he made up all these ridiculous excuses for why he must. Boooo! I suppose it’s not all bad news, though. Since I’ll be all by my lonesome on a Friday night, I plan on doing a little online window shopping at an adorable new “vintagey” clothing boutique that I just discovered. It’s called Trashy Diva (I had to chuckle when I typed that — it’s not very Betty Beguiles-ish of me, is it?) and I’m completely smitten. I just about melted when I read the description of their style and clothing:
“Our goal when designing clothing is to make each piece both timeless and ageless. We take our inspiration from antique and vintage clothing with a strong emphasis on feminine styles that flatter a variety of body types. We strive to bring back fine details that are rarely seen in clothing today.”
Swoon. This is definitely my kind of designer.
I’ll warn you in advance. Their clothes are not inexpensive. They aren’t overpriced necessarily, but they are one of a kind designer pieces and are priced accordingly. I’m all for supporting small businesses, when and if you can, even if means paying a bit more. Many of them are really struggling right now.
(In addition to their own they carry shoes and purses and lingerie and all sorts of goodies made by other designers.)
Go take a peek and let me know what you think! (Oh, and be sure to check out their clearance section. There’s some great stuff in there.)
Have a lovely weekend!
B.

Oh, Betty… I think I love you, lol
I am on the lookout for the *perfect* outfit to wear when we pick up my honey at the airport — I’ll definitely be watching this site! Thanks so much for sharing!

Oh, wowsie! There are some drop-dead gorgeous pieces there… if only… I’ll be bookmarking the site, though, for the day when I have some spare money. Thanks ever so much for sharing!
Gorgeous, gorgeous! Another great rec. I’m bookmarking this site.
The dresses…oh, the dresses. I am at that age that when I go shopping, stuff looks a little too young for me or a lot too old. I think women are looking for more of this style of dressing. I live in a small town, so maybe I just don’t see it around here. I teach middle school kids and I really have it in my heart that it is part of my ministry to model for those young girls how to be feminine without showing skin or skin-tight clothing.
